# How To: Connect Your Calendar to HubSpot

## This article walks you through connecting your work calendar to HubSpot, a required setup step for all reps. It covers why it matters, the step-by-step connection, how to confirm it's working, and fixes for common issues.

**Overview**

Every rep must connect their work calendar to HubSpot. It takes about 3 minutes and is a leadership requirement for all sales reps and new hires.

Once connected:

- Prospects can book time through your HubSpot meeting link without double-booking you
- Booked meetings land on your calendar and the prospect's automatically
- Meetings you create in HubSpot sync to your calendar

Without a connected calendar, your meeting link runs in offline mode: people can request time, but nothing is added to your calendar.

Do this after connecting your email (see *How To: Connect Your Email to HubSpot*).

**Connect your calendar**

Path: **Settings (gear icon) \> General \> Calendar tab \> Connect your calendar**.

1. In HubSpot, click the **settings icon** (gear) in the top navigation bar.
2. In the left sidebar, click **General**.
3. Click the **Calendar** tab.
4. Click **Connect your calendar**.
5. Choose **Google / Gmail**, then click **Connect your calendar**.
6. Review the dialog, then click **Accept and connect to Google**.
7. Pick your @slide.tech Google account, review the permissions, and click **Allow**.
8. HubSpot sends you to the Meetings dashboard. You're connected.

If your email wasn't connected yet, HubSpot connects that inbox automatically when you connect the calendar.

**On your phone (optional):** open the HubSpot mobile app, tap **Connect** in the *Connect your calendar* section, choose Google / Gmail, and sign in. Requires a Sales seat on Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise.

 Check that it worked

- **Settings \> General \> Calendar** shows your calendar as connected.
- On the Meetings dashboard (where HubSpot sent you), create or open your scheduling page and confirm your availability and working hours.
- Open your meeting link in a private browser window and confirm busy times on your calendar are blocked out.
- Book a test slot with a personal address. It should appear on your calendar within a minute or two.
- Next: connect Zoom (see *How To: Connect Zoom to HubSpot*).

Recurring events sync the next five occurrences, up to a year ahead.

**Troubleshooting**

| Problem | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| No **Connect your calendar** button | You're missing the Personal email access permission. Ask your HubSpot admin. |
| Wrong Google account got connected | Sign out of other Google accounts in your browser, disconnect in Settings \> General \> Calendar, and reconnect with your @slide.tech account. |
| Meeting link shows as offline | Your calendar isn't connected or was disconnected. Reconnect using the steps above. |
| Calendar disconnected after a password change | Expected: changing your Google password disconnects both inbox and calendar. Reconnect both. |
| Google blocks the connection | Your Google Workspace admin may need to allow the HubSpot app. Send them the error text. |
