A new Commission Approval process is live in HubSpot, giving reps a formal way to request additional quota attainment and/or commission.

What's changing

Previously, requesting commission approval required sending a Slack notification and then back-and-forth to understand the who and why. Now there's a built-in process for it, right on the deal itself.

How it works

1\. Submit the request — From the Deal record in HubSpot, submit a Commission Approval  request.

2\. Sales management reviews it and responds with one of three outcomes:

\- Approved — the commission exception is authorized as submitted.

\- Rejected — the requester gets a notification that the transfer was not approved.

\- Needs More Info — the requester gets a notification and will need to re-submit the request with additional details.

Why this matters

This gives everyone a clear, trackable way to request and approve commissions instead of handling it ad hoc.
